Have you seen the video of the altercation? You were right to think he’d face no consequences of any significance.

IDK about the rest of you but when the film started and I realized the opening credits was going to be a montage of Stan Lee, there were tears rolling down my face in mere seconds.

Mall rats was in Captain Marvel, now Captain Marvel is in Mallrats. It’s a pretty fucking basic and obvious nod dude.

I’m pretty sure people are aware of the film Mallrats, sport.

I feel like this is kind of the nature of music, though. Very little of it stands the test of time, but a great deal of it means something to a person or a group of people at a certain time. I remember earnestly singing to songs that legitimately make me cringe now (I’m looking at you, Backstreet Boys’ “Incomplete”).

As a kid that hit middle school a year after this album came out, Jagged Little Pill felt like the first time I had permission to be ANGRY or disgruntled.

Now playing

Gotta disagree hard on this one. IMO Jagged Little Pill holds up as a top 10 90s album. It’s a viscerally angry album and Alanis is SO GOOD at getting her emotions across.

I don’t think anyone specifically has an issue with what he did viz. making the donation. If I had the money I’d do it too (and maybe I will by the time my kids are old enough). It’s the brag that his daughter got in all on her own, which is not true. He made a $70 million donation. She was always gonna get in. She

I don’t think anyone’s faulting Dre for donating the money, merely for mocking the people that got charged and then claiming his daughter’s admission was 100% merit based afterward.

What a coincidence. I don’t want to see a video of Robert Kraft getting a hand job. I happen to like having eyeballs.

I think you’re exaggerating the scenario a bit, at least from the video I saw.

...Beating your wife!? Sheesh.

Come on, based on the video you can’t honestly believe this person deserves criminal charges...

No. I will happily admit to watching Friends and The Office, but The Big Bang Theory is unwatchable for me. I have attempted to give it a chance.  It feels painful.

“People like your friend’s wives.”

“Nobody I know watches this” describes literally everything on CBS, but I don’t think this makes them liars. They just don’t have any shows I care about. I don’t get how a TV critic can be so confounded that The Masses have different tastes than critics.

This article could have been titled:

I also am completely perplexed as to what the point of this was, other than to say Netflix makes his job harder.

It seems to me is that part of his complaint as a TV critic is he can no longer point you in the direction of the good stuff. There’s a shotgun blast of a new season of a new show with ten episodes all released at once, and next week there’ll be five newer shows, and three more the week after that.

I’ve read this twice and I’m still not entirely sure what the point of this rant is. That people prefer comfort food over new stuff? Well, sure. That’s been the case since TV began. (And I’ll always have a Law & Order on when I’m doing chores.) Netflix wants people to stay home and watch Netflix? Well, duh. It’s hard
