Sadly, this restriction is the only reason I haven't completely cut cable. MLB is the only reason I watch live television, and since my team is forced onto a paid cable channel (MASN and MASN2) I'm required to have a upper tier level cable to watch my team play.

Watterson has always been adamantly against any sort of commercialization of his works, including but not limited to movies. While I'd absolutely love a well done movie, I have too much respect for the artist and his wishes to allow my own selfish desires to overcome that.
