For the people I’ve talked to, they all have something like you’re talking about with a higher output, and previous to the software update reported no issues charging and using navigation on their phone screens at the same time. At least one I know thought perhaps her cable was failing and swapped in a known good one

The most common complaint I have seen among friends and team members has been their iOS devices not charging quickly while in their cars (especially my nurse and traveling technician friends). They spend a fair amount of time hopping between locations and found after disabling the feature, their devices were quick

There should be a disclaimer that this does not apply when your windshield is and/or windows are useless due to frost/ice/snow/etc. Hauling off without having that shit cleared is a good way to get into an accident and/or a ticket.

At one point, I had what was a good relationship with our local Subaru dealer. We had bought four different cars through them over the years, even with different sales people. Two new, two used. Pretty streamlined process, good pricing.

They do! There was a handle on the shoulder like we have on our other Toyotas and our previous Subaru. It was a welcome feature on longer trips.

So, it’s a houseboat. An expensive houseboat.

My Scion tC was the same - massive amount of space under the hatch. And back seats that could comfortably seat real adults! And the rear seats reclined!

True, they may have to fly thru Detroit

The joke then is on the writer, because NY isn’t any warmer

Though, going to Milwaukee in the dead of winter may be punishment enough.

Far fewer people ordering stuff custom to be fucked up with an Equinox too?

This sounds in a way similar to the case recently in Milwaukee, where a car crashed into a building and burned, but the FD didn’t locate the body in the back seat for a period, because they didn’t look.

Air conditioning that works 10+ years after the car was made is a miracle. I remember most of the cars I owned in my life I just expected that the air con would no longer work either by the time I bought the car, or after the car reached five years of age.

+1 for Ariens. Our 70's model failed on us last year and we replaced it with what we could find used, and it pales in comparison.

We had to do this on my old XJ as well, and had the joy of the hitch also being in the way. We ended up notching the hitch so we could get access to the bolt (to avoid breaking bolts pulling the hitch off). It was I think almost two days of a friend and I cutting, torching, and burning things off, but we did

Something that’s still a gap in offerings are audio streamers for existing speaker/stereo installs. I’m holding onto my Chromecast Audios for dear life to feed my ceiling mounted speakers or my existing amplifier setup in the office.

Is there anything out there to replace the Chromecast Audio? Other options other than

Bus trip coming back from hiking in the mountains in Colorado to Illinois. The trip was great, but the ride back was going to be overnight. A couple people had slammed Mountain Dew from lunch through dinner, and everyone was trying to settle to sleep. In their brilliance, they figured they would slam some Benadryl and
