Depending on how much you pack, I was able in previous cars to fit mine under the passenger seat. Currently I tuck mine behind the drivers seat in my hatchback since I keep the rear seat folded down 99.99% of the time

All of this - a simple emergency kit can be all the difference. I’d add a solar blanket (cheap), a flash light, and small first aid kit. Shouldn’t take up much room at all.

One of the recurring themes I heard/read about from crew members was reasonable shift length and rest between shifts. From what I have read and understand, they’re asking for some damn reasonable things.

Check with your local municipality, some of them in our area have mulch and compost available free for residents, you just need to go haul it yourself (we use 5gal buckets or split a load with a neighbor). We used the compost and topped with mulch this spring and started off some fantastic raspberries and blackberries
