There is a bit of a craze with making very sweet stouts right now, or pastry stouts. We had one release here that was so sweet, a 12oz bottle made my jaw hurt before I finished the glass. So, I substituted the liquid in my waffle batter for the sweet stout, and we had a chicken and waffles party and bottle share.

I latched onto this movie as a kid. We rented it constantly from the local grocery store. I loved that a kid could come from nothing and grow to be much more. My home life when I was young was not ideal, so seeing a kid go from scraps to being king was amazing for me living in a rural tiny town.

Looks like I cannot edit the parent post to correct it, but thank you for pointing it out.

... re-reading you’re right <headslap>

I had no idea shakshuka would fall under Israeli food. We found a recipe for it on BudgetBytes and make it fairly regularly in our house with a nice crusty bread to dip in. Makes great lunches too in the office.

..he’ll serve as co-executive producer along with Basil Iwanyk and Chad Stahelski, who directed all three John Wick films.

Can’t wait to hear the 911 call audio on this one.

Before plugging in that space heater, check things out. Not all cubes have the power capacity to handle them, and may not be allowed by local fire code (I have worked in offices where one or both are the case).

I like it colder, but we have some folks who want it warmer. Small heating pads are what they swear by -

Dependable babysitters.
Seriously, we only go when we can get a parent to watch our kid or the one babysitter who’s dependable do we go to a movie. We finally saw Star Wars on Christmas Eve because my parents offered to babysit while we were visiting.
Give me in theater childcare, and we would seriously consider it.

I was going to buy the Cuisinart grinder, but a friend referred me to the Capresso grinder line. Surprisingly, Best Buy has a good deal on this model burr grinder with very similar features, but they’re throwing in a free Google Assistant BT speaker and free shipping. Just got the grinder yesterday, and it works great.

Best: Beer. So much beer.
I’ve made some great friends this year through beer, and of course enjoyed some fantastic brews at the same time. My family and I made a couple planned stops on our vacation to Kansas City as well this fall to a handful of breweries, and it was fantastic.

Depending on the family we visited, we could do that. My stepmom? Not so much. She’s ask us why he was waking up at odd hours in the night, why we were so tired, etc. She’s used to her extended family living nearby, not people driving 3 hours away from home.

My mom and my inlaws though all got it though, so they would

As for drowning out noise, you can bring a sound machine or play white noise from an app on your phone. Or, as one mom mentioned, you can turn on the radio and have it play static.

My favorite bit of office lunch gear. I keep one in my lunch bag, so I have one with me for lunch, and one at home that’s clean for the next day. Repeat cycle throughout week.

A note for the brine option: I’ve talked about this with our local DPW lead earlier this year, and the trouble they run into is that it’s not easy to convert a truck from brine operation to traditional salting, and trucks both plow and salt in our area. They run pretty lean on trucks as it is, so it would mean having

I work near a Nestle facility. Every morning when I come to work it smells like fresh baked cookies. I now want cookies for a second time this morning.

OMG
Why did I not know about this when our son was going through the same issues?! This would have been so so helpful!

Also, totally reminds me of Magic Mouth from SNL.

I can work with it as long as Lucy cameos.
