The only reason I can think of them focusing on it(besides that being the only good thing in this game) is that they got so much praise for the grapnel/glide system in Arkham that they think it needs to be praised here.

I cant tell if this is terrible or if I am old and the world has moved on.
Probably both.
And if they were just 1-1 ripping off Pokemon, they likely grabbed the 3d models from a third party and made their own customizations. Far more likely (and MUCH easier) than trying to train AI to generate details and color palletes.
Can I get to an ending without playing with anyone online? If not, then it’s not a game I want to play. Their continued focus on “traversal”, i.e. getting from one place to another, is mind-boggling to me. Yeah, if it’s a pain to get around that can ruin a game, but making it a key selling point? What is that? It…
They are really desperate for anyone to play this, huh
There’s clearly a deliberate attempt to make players see these monsters and associate them with Pokemon, and a lot of the designs have obvious similarities - even moreso than other Pokemon-likes. But claiming one creature is clearly a rip-off of another because of one or two design similarities - plant dinosaurs with…
The game is looking better and more fun with each new video and developer inside, but I’m just not seeing this being worth $70 at launch, maybe after a month when it’ll be $40 on a marketplace sale, but $70 is a stretch.
Needs more mustache.
The face/laugh in the screenshot kind of reminds me of the 60's TV show joker.
Sorry all my excitement points have been spent on Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

This kinda feels like the true crime genre’s “saying the quiet part loud” moment, honestly.
What I find more amazing is the number of people angrily defending the right of megacorporations to produce and sell them mediocre dogshit. You saw this with the Mario movie, as a huge number of people crawled out of the woodwork to take umbrage at the idea that people would be upset that the movie was lousy: they had…
I love the inability for people to consider scale or context of an issue.
Amazing how people feel entitled to products that work properly and contain the content that was promised.
Yes!, if it was a 40$ games then ok, but it wasn’t it was a 60$ game, 50% more expensive and a mess
Yes. Is “make sure the game is actually playable before you release” really such an unreasonable expectation?
I have really lost a lot love for the new pokemon games, is not that I’m too old for the gender or over it, I disliked Sword and Sun a lot and after that a played Digimon cybersleuht I really liked it. I could still play heart gold and love it.
Can’t speak to this game specifically since I haven’t played it but just based on description; I’m not really a fan of “haha look how terrible this game design is” jokes if you still make the player go through it and the only subversion is pointing out that it’s bad. Basically just telling the player “Look how little…
