I live in Wisconsin and most of our schools, with the exception of the newest buildings, do not have air conditioning. That would be the biggest hurdle for us to year-round. I could see the whole 9 weeks on and 3 weeks off causing an issue for parents and finding child-care.

Generally, year-round school is better for learning retention in students as opposed to the brain drain they experience over a long summer. My wife is a teacher and she tells me that it is a real problem. The beginning of the school year is often a time-wasting review of last year’s material. Year-round school has

Yes, oh man, you’re preaching to the choir here. I’m a huge proponent of year-round school. My wife is as well.

I’m actually really surprised the kid has homework at all. My wife is a teacher and there is a growing trend to eliminate homework altogether. The only time my wife’s students bring work home is if they weren’t able to finish it at school.

That’s such a bullshit argument. All votes should count equally.

God damnit. You beat me to it.

$50 a month for student loan payments?! I wish! Between my wife and I, we have just under $900/month in student loans. I think the point here is that if people weren’t so burdened with that much student debt, that money becomes disposable income.

This whole signature match thing bothers me. As a 31-year-old with sub-par handwriting, my signature is anything but consistent.

As a Wisconsin resident who has voted against Walker 3 times and will be doing so for a 4th time this eventing all I can say in response to your comment is: yup.

I’m so glad the Brewers didn’t get him. What a douche.

When I bought my Destiny 2 PS4 Pro bundle, it came with a physical copy of Destiny 2. I think that’s the common way they do these.

I like the cut of your jib. I’ve always found it a bit unsettling that if there was a God he/she sure hates Africa. Americans are facing an obesity epidemic and there are babies and children dying of starvation every day in Africa. Sure demonstrates a loving God if I’ve ever seen one...

This is exactly true. They might get a stomach bug where they can’t keep food down for a day or two and think that’s the flu. Sorry, it’s not.

And if a company does decide to change their terminology to something different, people like you will cry and clutch your pearls. This isn’t a case of people being offended. It’s a case of empathy and self-awareness. If you’re unable to see the difference then it’s you who needs to change. Try being a better person.

So is inflexibility. The official terms may change but programmers (disclaimer: I am a Python programmer) will continue to use the old terms when discussing until the old terms are slowly phased out.

There is not a single thing Apple claims to have done first that wasn’t true. I challenge you to find something they claimed wrongly.

I’ve never had my Face ID fail with glasses, sunglasses, hats, or scarves. I’ve also grown a beard, shaved it off, and grew it back all while Face ID worked great. The ONLY time I've ever had it have a hard time was in bright, direct sunlight. In that case, I just punched in my PIN.

Yes.

All of his radio ads in Wisconsin say that. It drives me nuts.
