It’s tough to have sympathy for someone who overlooks cruelty for money...but this whole story has my bullshit detector on high alert.  I don’t think anyone involved is a good person.

This is also why (was it Norway?) white folks from ultra homogeneous countries aren’t migrating here in the numbers Trumpo would be happy to accept. Those countries; even more than ours, are growing mostly via migration, not birth rate.

So me and my friend have this conversation at lunch pretty often. We’ve concluded sure racism is everywhere but it seems to be a “special kind of racism” in the US. We’re both active duty and together have been on every continent but Antarctica.

I think I’ve figured it out! White people think that they all get to be individuals and the rest of us are members of groups that you can easily categorize, like lions and tigers and bears.

Many White Americans seem to really be born into the whole American Exceptionalism thing.

What’s going on in this country, more than any other country, is that the majority is deathly afraid of becoming a minority. You could swap out “white people” with “majority race” and most of this would still be the same.

Don’t let Europe fool you with their socialized health care and large amounts of government mandated paid vacation time. They’ve got the same streak of nasty racism that American white people have

There are white people who have no problem with telling you what’s wrong with the “black community,” but try to tell them what’s wrong with the “white community,” and they can’t get that “not all...” out of their mouths fast enough. On the Venn, it’s an over lapping circle.

...when swimming in shark-infested waters or walking through a snake pit, it would be stupid to tell yourself “not all sharks...” or “not all snakes...” and assume that you won’t be bitten.

Maybe they were nice to you because you were visiting. The French don’t really treat their Muslim citizens all that well, the Germans treat its Turkish citizens like garbage.

Last week, while standing in line at a huge entertainment complex, I asked one of the employees if I was in the right line to reserve a table for the restaurant. Before I could even finish, she cut me off dismissively and said: “You’re in the right line.”
