I don't have anything against turn-based combat (Fallout 2! Mech Commander!), but yes this does sound byzantine.

@rainofwalrus: You don't need to finish F3 before New Vegas, the storylines aren't related :P. In five years you'll look back and be glad you didn't waste the hours :).

@MrGOH: Yeah that final part was a bit of a disappointment. But the game as a whole had incredible writing, and it had a fantastic grim sensibility to it. Unlike most fantasy RPGs, it was about more than just rounding up the good guys to take down the big evil (a la Dragon Age Snoozefest). The shadow plane stuff…

@Killer Toilet: Actually I got kind of bored in Fallout 1 as well, but Fallout 2 is much more interesting.

@MrGOH: KOTOR II got pushed out early by the publishers. Obsidian did Mask of the Betrayer espansion for NWN2, which is probably the best RPG I've played recently (Mask, not NWN2), on par with Mass Effect.

@Bloodsoul5: No, Obsidian games are Real Time with Pause (like baldur's gate), which is basically the same as VATS. VATS was real time with pause.

@ImmaLion: It's going to be more storyline and less FPS. It's not going to be in the same style as Fallout 3. Not a sandbox game.

@Nick Greek: Er, sorry. Fallout 3 wasn't a bad game. It was a terrible game. Is that better? :).

@Mister 32: The game takes place several hundred years after the bombs dropped. Civilization is on the rebound.

@Xaoc- Ps3 owner(NOT A FANBOY): The Fallout 3 engine was pretty awful. I doubt obsidian made their own engine, but I'm 99.9% sure it will not be the Fallout 3 engine (since that engine doesn't mesh with the way Obsidian makes RPGs).

@ThisCharmingMan: It wasn't Bethesda's IP to begin with, and some would argue they didn't do it justice on their turn.

@killwarez001: If you look closely, you can see it's lifting things out of the sand. And the game is called NEW Vegas. That's not the old Vegas in the trailer.

@ChuckCharles: Worst is when the planet description says its poor in resources, then you press Y and scanner results say "Rich".

This is about more than gaming peripherals. I have too much stuff. There is stuff everywhere. I use almost none of it. And yet I don't want to throw it away because I *paid* for it, so it must be *worth* something. Right? Or can I just throw it away? :(

@golbez.omega: "Fox Opinion Channel" doesn't quite have that newsy ring to it though.
