Tetra Master is actually a fun game when you know how to play it, but it’s absurd that they went to such lengths to obfuscate the rules. I vastly prefer it to Triple Triad, but only because I went out of my way to learn it.

Didn’t want the explanation to drag on, but the short of it is that some of the precursor of urobilin (called urobilinogen) is reabsorbed back into the blood from the gut, then reaches our kidneys and is filtered out into the rest of the urinary tract, where it then becomes urobilin and turns pee yellow.

That’s certainly the question, but I think these things need more of an organized campaign in order to be reclaimed. Like, the creator of Pepe the Frog worked to get his innocent little cartoon taken back from the Nazis and it has worked to a degree, but for bigger symbols like the swastika or 88 or 14 you can’t just

I call bullshit on NOBODY at the company knowing. Someone at that turd factory knew *exactly* what they were doing.

Hah, that’s actually amusing. Like a mob wielding the traditional torches you see in movies and tv is so much more intimidating than...tiki torches. They just look like they’re going to a Jimmy Buffet concert or something.

I am a bigger WW2 buff than most and I had no idea it meant that. I feel like if you aren’t a Nazi then it doesn’t mean that.

I wonder if, in the end, the Faustian Disney bargain will really show to have been a benefit for these properties as compared to Warner or Paramount who kind of bumble along, make mistakes, score occasional hits and just keep on trying?

In 10 years you’ll be wondering “why is everything so bland, why does everything feel so cheap?”. It will be the artistic equivalent of everything being made out of plastic.

I can’t wait for us to get past this whole point. It isn’t going anywhere and won’t be regulated away. I still remember how up in arms everyone one was about how digital art was going to ruin the entire industry. A decade or two from now & an article like this will seem even sillier than it currently does. Adapt or

Re: Unfilmables: a lot of it is the metatextual stuff at the end of each issue. The excerpts from Under the Hood. The Notes about Dr Manhattan, The article about Tales of the black freighter. the psych eval of Walter Kovacs, Dreibergs article about birds, Sally’s newspaper clippings, the notes taken from Veidts desk,

Kuma! That’s not how marriage proposals work!”

“I’ve always believed Watchmen was ahead of its time,” he said. “The idea of a superhero team, which it so brilliantly subverts”

...realizing Persona 5 is already six years old...

No, sorry but BG3 deserves the number 1 spot. I get there's a portion of the gaming community not used to the style of gameplay. I get that it swept most gaming awards this year so there's suddenly this feeling of it being a gaming Goliath and anything else up against it is like David. But the sheer effort, attention

Socialism is about an end state—a nation where the majority of people (workers) are empowered to shape society, rather than the rich dictating the terms of society to them.

Even I was relieved when I clicked and it was an actual list!

It’s not clickbait if you literally have to read the entire article to get to the bait.

Just two things;
