The entire Camp Utopia plotline just served to flesh out Dot’s backstory, which we basically already knew at this point. She was taken in at a way-too-young age, groomed, abused, and was forcibly wed to Roy. All of those facts were there before this episode.

Remaster, remaster, remaster, Infinite Wealth, remaster, and shockingly, Skull and Bones.

I mean I have a soft spot for Jeff Goldblum so I liked the Sakaar episode when I caught it last night. Great use of alternate Gamora too.

It’s pretty clear that every DC property tried sweatily to make their movies like Nolan’s Batman series, without having any idea about what made it special. They just saw “grimdark” and how Dark Knight earned like a billion dollars and said fuck it, audiences like that, let’s do that for 15 years

Watching this now too, it’s...fine, for the most part. The animation alternates between looking clunky and chunky (like when people stiffly run) but there are some sequences that use comic-book-color schemes spectacularly. The voice acting range remains pretty impressive, even if they got soundalikes for the biggest

GO WOKE GO BROKE”

Heh.

YOU CANT WAKE UP IF YOU DONT GO TO SLEEP

Avengers: “we’ve got you cornered now, Kang!”

I would think this would boil down to a time vs money issue for Marvel. Slotting in an entirely different villain would require much more time and effort than I would think they’re willing to expend, and they certainly don’t want to jettison what they’ve spent a while building up to.

Highly-detailed, visually rich, slomo combat sequences without a whiff of a plot or characters? In MY ZACK SNYDER?? Well I nyever

You may be entitled to compensation if you can prove you have a gigantic shiny scaly breast.

Man, imagine how fun superhero movies could be if they didn’t give a shit about future installments. Leaving everything on the table and not caring about serialization is the way to go.

You da real MVP

That’s cause people are fucking morons

List of characters I’d like to see Dot take a screwdriver to an eyeball or two: Lars->Roy->Gator->Graves for his other eye. Hell, maybe she was who got his first one.

The captions on Hulu when Ole lurched up to Gator were something like “hisses” and Gator’s “ugh” when he did so. I’d like to think that was a spontaneous acting choice and that Keery’s response was also natural, and they kept it in.

They would just order a big stack of pancakes. I would want to watch every minute of it

Subtlety is a hallmark of the Coen’s creative brand. This season of the show has it in short supply.

No Dave the Diver=list invalided, try again next year
