My favorite bit of D’Arcy Carden face-acting in this episode was Janet’s look of annoyance when caterer Michael stuck with his awful Australian accent when trying to intervene with Eleanor, despite her earlier trying to dissuade him.

All those World Series that the Giants have are nice, real nice. But as an A’s fan, what reallly gets my goat is Pac Bell/AT&T Park. What an amazing accomplishment. That park is baseball incarnate, the apex of design, history and atmosphere. It is an ideal place to watch a baseball game. I am jealous. 

I would call this the funniest cartoon ever made. And one of the best theme songs, right up there with Cowboy Beebop’s “Tank!”

So 2 things about this season. One can Americans please learn literally anything about Australia before making shows set here and two the Australian accents are so bad as to render this season almost unwatchable. Sincerely, all of Australia.

Some found the Ozzie conception of an American restaurant to be hackish and latter-day Simpsonsy, some (like me) found it to be a delightful homage to Wee Britain’s finest establishment, Fat Ammy’s. (It took me a moment to remember that Mitch Hurwitz is not, in fact, Michael Schur, and thus it was not a callback,)

The “Trevor Stinks!-Janet” billboard in the pile of Janet’s queue made me chuckle for a lot longer than it should have.

Chidi misspelling Plato as Palto on the dry erase board after not sleeping. I loved tha small, very realistic on no sleep, gag.
