Kinja as a publishing platform also leaves much to be desired. For example, I frequently use the TV Club widget on the current homepage to quickly find the show I'm interested in. I haven't seen anything like that on Kinja, and it will be missed if it doesn't make the transition.
This post gets all the stars. :p
Kinja's an odd duck because it is both a content management system/blogging platform AND a commenting system (and an ice cream topping/floor wax).
No. They said in the article that _all_ existing comments will be ported over in the move.
Sure, that's helpful for current AVC users and I appreciate it. But that's not super helpful for new users that will hopefully visit the site and comment.
I've got a bad feeling about this…
The BBC waived that part of the contract with an insider saying, "We don't want to get in the way of them reinventing the programme."

At least San Diego has the zoo and safari park. And Balboa Park and scads of museums. And tons of beaches. And decent regional theater (although not the caliber of LA). And the Padres. And Comic Con. And …
Huh, I had to look into the Windsor TV situation because it sounded interesting. Apparently, there's a CTV 2 affiliate in Windsor, but the nearest prime CTV rebroadcaster is an analog signal out of Oil Springs.
I'm going to miss "@midnight," although I watched sporadically. Among the show's accomplishments, I think it's worth celebrating that female comedians got a lot of screen time. Most episodes featured at least one female comedian and a handful featured an all-female panel. That said, most of the panels were usually…
I'm not sure of their selection criteria, but they did include a note at the bottom of the article:
Sure, sure, but how do you feel about Heineken owning ALL 100 PERCENT of Lagunitas? That happened back in May.

The Rani.
"Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2" is the only movie that I've both enjoyed and twice booed at. The boos were for the Howard the Duck cameos.
The pool table is a steal right now, but one must account for shipping costs. I don't know what that would cost for something that large.
I'm not sure about _all_ the objections about Kinja, but the biggest annoyance for me is that posters and their initial posts start off in a "pending" status.
I’m curious about how well that mechanical keyboard works on a Mac, especially with the Mac’s keyboard shortcuts. I used a Dell keyboard on my work Mac for a day and my hand got pretty cramped.

NBC = Nothing But Curling
The novel is an interesting read, but the story (such as it is) is pretty disjointed although it is ultimately coherent.
