I found this musical so incredibly boring. The popularity confounds me. It seemed like a satire on pretentious Broadway musicals (in a The Producers kinda way).

I heard about the attack briefly, but it came on he heels of the Thousand Oaks shooting (thirteen dead), so the American media couldn’t really give it much attention

Good for you for being such a good kid, though I fail to see the point of mentioning it. But who is excusing the child’s behaviour? Calling it a prank doesn’t minimise it. People have died because of pranks gone wrong.

David Oyewolo was not believable or effective as Dr. King.  There is definitely something going on other than “they’re so talented.”  I think people are just enchanted by the accents.

Because the only reason he holds the rallies is to hear people cheering for him. He doesn’t care about the politics, it’s just ego stroking, and they cheer for that shit, so he keeps repeating it. There should be a moratorium across the board on shows about drug dealers, zombies, and assasins/serial killers/hitmen.

Just because you own an animal doesn’t make it a domesticated animal. I’d lose my shit if someone brought a fucking squirrel on a flight I was on. Squirrels are not pets. 

They are wild animals. Maybe she kept it as a pet but squirrels are not domesticated animals.

From what I understand, their wide visual range and long lifespan can make them very useful as seeing eye animals

There are some cultures, I believe mostly Middle Eastern cultures, in which the idea of a dog as a pet or service animal is considered unclean so members of those communities use minihorses as service animals instead of dogs.

Twitter users floated actors like Spawn’s Michael Jai White, Luke Cage’s Mike Colter, and Black Panther’s Winston Duke as more suitable actors to play John Henry.

It seems like there is a large portion of the population who doesn’t even know that he is part black. That’s how much he downplays it.

Part of the answer is also that these big stories and roles for black actors are not being produced here in the UK. These actors are talented and ambitious and the roles that match that are in the US. There is a failure in the UK to tell black stories and to push forward the deep pool of young black talent.
