The white and even black minor characters are stereotypes in terms of their jobs or class position, like Mr. Burns. NOT stereotypes of white people.

But...you’re not “owning” anything.

Yes. It would.

It’s a fair question to ask about how celebs, not just Bourdain, are asked about these things as if their opinion is relevant in a way that requires their input.

The truth makes you angry. That’s not my problem.

Exactly. So why is it important to wonder about Bourdain’s thoughts on policy issues?

As you should!

They’re white because they limit the number of Asians allowed in. Look it up. The same thing happened in early and pre-20th century with Jewish admittance to universities: They were strictly limited. It’s a open fact that Ivy League colleges and even the California system of universities, limit the number of Asians

Then they don’t come back and they tell all their friends who don’t come, either.

For me, tipping bartenders is how you get taken care of. It’s just standard practice if you go to the same place regularly or are a committed lush.

I don’t tip someone for merely taking my order and then taking my money.

Traffic Light?

Um, everything is fine.

Because it’s a celeb saying it and they usually play nice with each other unless they’re feuding.  Generally, good liberal celebs like Bourdain aren’t expected to call out Clinton.  Which is nonsense, of course.

His opinion on the matter was no better or worse in terms of usefulness, than your high school friend who makes similar comments on Facebook every now and then.

A celebrity chef thinks something is horrible and gets loads of attention for his opinion.

If what you say is true, then Asians and Indians have outperformed white people easily and, were it not for affirmative action, most Ivy League universities would have nothing but Asians and Indians and no white people at all.

You’re trying to shoehorn Asians and Indians into your nonsense since you figured out (at last) that white people didn’t do everything worthwhile?

It’s proof that you can use dog whistle language and bigoted thought in a “funny” way in order to get viral social media attention and, maybe, eventually, mainstream media attention.
