You win the internet today. Thank you.

That’s much more on the show runner than the actors, though.

You say it was lacking actual neo nazis, but then you say hundreds of cops were there.

This. Moffat is amazing at the stand-alone episode, two-parters at most. I think Doctor Who’s “Blink” and Sherlock’s “The Hounds of Baskerville” are examples of Moffat at his absolute best, and it’s because they are very contained. They aren’t worried about majorly referencing any larger events. Give him a season to

Iranians are not the problem. When Jason Jones went to Iran, it was great, and funny, to see him talk to supposedly isolated and oppressed Iranians who responded with, “Jon Stewart! I love The Daily Show!”.

The important thing is that you made sure to let us know this is a woman that you’re talking about

Presented in list format as I am aware as of this writing:

The extra “and Moriarty was also doing stuff from beyond the grave because something something something REASONS!!!!” definitely didn’t help the secret sister plot.

Freeman seems to have no filter - quick mind and even quicker tongue and I have the feeling he has never adjustedt well to fame and having people speculating with his private life. In contrast, Cumberbatch has had no problem making at least sme of his private life public.

My apologies, I meant all of those supposedly ‘racist and homophobic’ quotes came from a same Daily Fail article from 2008.

“’Potential rapist alert’”... Really, tumblr? Dark, sarcastic humour (sure, of bad taste) is enough to give someone a label of ‘potential rapist’?

Fair enough. It’s entirely possible he’s a jerk, but that’s a far cry from labeling him a bigot because he was in an Ali G movie, which is what the very silly people over at tumblr seem to be doing.

You realize Ali G Indahouse is a parody film, right?

Freeman seems pretty consistently to not want to be seen as too affable or friendly for whatever reason. And that’s fine! He can still be a good actor. Great as he was on Fargo, I don’t think people who watch Fargo spend money on fan merch, events, and other projects as his Sherlock fans do. He works in an industry

Martin is actually far from a dick. Multiple people he’ worked with have said how down to earth and encouraging he is. There was even an actor in black panther that said Martin approached him to say how much he loves his work and is excited to work with him. Don’t go jumping to conclusions about a guy you’ve never met

Honestly that’s the problem with everything Steven Moffat does. He thinks that he’s very very clever. When Moffat is on his game he’s right, and can make something that shouldn’t really work into legitimately amazing TV. But when he’s not firing on all cylinders he comes off as a smart aleck who’s more concerned with

Freeman plays the same neurotic person in everything though. Same mannerisms, same tics..

They really lost me at “Secret Holmes sister who gets away with multiple murders, because reasons.”

Just don’t make anymore. Seasons 1 and 2 were great event TV but then it just turned into the “look how smart as writers we are” show with two writers who are frankly middling most of the time.

Sherlock’s lasting achievement will be that in just 12 episodes it reached the same level of smug, masturbatory, meta, self-referential self-satisfaction that it can take other cult shows decades to hit.
