Preferably the path of least resistance.
Preferably the path of least resistance.
Definitely. I can easily picture this happening in Silicon Valley if it weren’t for fear of being fired or becoming the target of a lawsuit.
As someone who has, to this day, never read the books, I love the movie. The actors are great (though Carrey may be a bit too over the top), and there’s definitely a good balance between wackiness and serious time. Plus, the music is amazing. I also am finding it difficult to not compare this series to the movie, and…
You have no idea the shithouse the internet would be if it wasn’t for nerds pushing for better security.
I never said we shouldn’t use global trends. That’s obviously what we SHOULD use.
Still, just as one might chide a climate-change denier for saying it’s unusually cold, we also shouldn’t use unusual warmth as evidence.
This is incorrect. It proves that puppies react specifically to baby talk because it was also showed that normal speech was ineffective with them:
No, you are projecting a “status” where there is none.
No, a watch is not necessarily a status symbol. I wear a cheap one simply to tell time quickly. There’s no hidden meaning.
Most people don’t get the most expensive model. That’s my point.
Yes, but that’s not the point that OP is trying to make.
$4k mac. /eyeroll
I disagree completely. I use my watch for time-telling every day, and I don’t consider it a status symbol. So do a lot of other people!
E-ink is probably the most power efficient way to make a digital watch short of it having no display at all. Also, do you know what a watch is? What even are you talking about??
My question was rhetorical. Being able to tell the time is, in fact, useful, and you don’t need an expensive watch for that. But I agree that they can also be used as status symbols.
So what you are saying is that most watches are rubbish because they just tell the time and nothing else?
The thinness is a lot more attractive when you consider that the LG panel, for example, is only 16 pounds.
That’s exactly what she looked like in IV.
Where digital has the advantage is in photojournalism. Someone can click off what would amount to hundreds of rolls of film and then the world can see them in minutes. Sending film off for processing takes time. It can be laborious.
As someone who has read none of the books but watched all of the movies, I thought Gambon was leagues better than Harris. Despite the fact that Harris is so much more like the book character (so I’ve heard), I found him to be an utterly boring character. I can’t even picture him becoming the Dumbledore of the later…
