I know a load of people who have worked with him and hes a nice person but it is the latter.

I hate to be that guy but this “Michael Rooker.. formed a close relationship with Gunn over the course of the production” isnt correct. James Gunn has been a huge fan of Michael Rookers for decades since he saw him in Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, and cast him in Slither back in 2006 and Super in 2010 and brought…
This season has just been filled with high stakes that go nowhere.
Did they?!? Because I just rewatched the scene and that is an insane lack of attention to the detail of their own show.
Erm because its her innocent baby that she is the product of her and Nick who she loves? That part makes perfect sense.
You haven’t been paying attention. Nick doesn’t have a handmaid and the infertility comes from the men.
So illogical!
I agree this was Handmaids Tale in a microcosm.
Dude. We are trying to discuss but not give spoilers away. Can you delete that please.
Only in the very broadest of strokes. Especially when you consider that the narration was put in later.
What film pray tell?
Less disturbing? Clunky narration aside it was one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen!
I think there were a changes made since the sundance version. I think I was right in assuming that the narration at the end was added in later. Its all said by a charachter who is present but their face is obscured and then the lens focuses on another charachter (really trying to avoid spoilers). Seemed ADR’d to me.
Nope. Weird taboo.
It’s really good though! And the gore is very well signposted so plenty of time for eye closing. And it’s not throughout but there are 2 or 3 violent scenes.
Yes. If you are not up for gore avoid. It’s not The Thing or torture porn level gore but it has plenty.
It’s pretty gory tbf. Its not just psychological thrills like the Babadook or It Follows.
I went to a screening she was at and did an intro with the director, she was so sweet and apologised for being in our nightmares. We all giggled politely but the thing is every time I am in a dark room legit think I see her and its terrifying.
I dont think there is anything aside but from an extremely brief instant where you see a dead animal but you dont see it die. Its like a roadkill sort of situation.
Dinner monologue just perfection. I’m really excited to see it again too. I think there will be a lot of beautiful little details and foreshadowing to pick up on.
