Rachel McKinnon, who is currently looking forward to the death of a feminist lesbian activist.

I’m sorry, but what?! Andrew does not have an uncle who was King. His mother is Queen and before that, his grandfather. None of his paternal uncles were ever King, and his maternal uncle certainly wasn’t.

I’m British, never been to the US, and I know what July 4th stands for. Where does Jezebel get these writers?

Everything I know about the two sisters' relationship is based on the Dolores novel by Jacqueline Susann. Total trash but memorable, even 30 years after reading it.

Is this story still going round? Wasn't it a mistranslation between the French interview and the English speaking translator? The difference between violer (to rape) and voler (to steal). He was a stealing little thug, not a rapist, not based on that infamous interview, anyway.

Me. I wash the bra every time I wash the pants. Otherwise one will fade before the other and as most of my underwear matches, this would really annoy me. I don’t know if it’s a fat woman thing but my bras need washing after one wear - they catch underboob sweat as well as sitting very close to my armpits.

Fuck off, does it. I was abused repeatedly as a child, never once have I abused another child. This is a myth - look at what sex most abuse victims are and what sex most abused are, and you can see your snappy little comment is untrue.

100% agree. Most abuse victims are female, most abusers are male. Logically, the 'cycle of abuse' makes no sense.

Hugh Grant doesn’t have sex with the gamekeeper, which is why he is sad and we feel sorry for him at the end of the film. (It’s Maurice himself who does).

I was hoping someone would point this out! I love both films but the idea of watching them on the same day would confuse my brain. DDL has never acted better than he did the year he made these two films.

I still have my copy on VHS! I'm tempted to rewatch it tonight but the other half is suggesting The Incredibles instead...

Sexuality is a choice? I'm old enough to remember when this was considered quite a homophobic thing to think, because it supposed that for example, lesbians could choose to actually fancy males, and that they were being stubborn by insisting they only fancied females.

Are you watching the reruns of Tenko on cable at the mo? Bliss! I think possibly I was too young for Widows too, as I watched the last episode on a school trip - and cried buckets over Dolly killing you-know-who.

This is making me SO angry! It’s not original, Lynda La Plante was the fucking queen of TV and the piece doesn’t even mention her.
