Breathtaking.
Breathtaking.
The best part of the whole trip was the 5-hour (YES 5 HOUR) horseback ride through the mountains. My sister and I were the only ones on the ride, and our guide made us homemade tuna sandwiches for lunch and it was JUST THE BEST AND I MISS IT ALREADY.
I think the rule of thumb is, don’t stay somewhere you feel unsafe. I am pretty sure there were many times in my life where someone was into me and I wasn’t into them, and their next thought was not “hmmm sexual assault?” I think most people hope for the best but are prepared that the other person won’t be into them…
The colloquial name for that is “The Chuck Berry”.
Well, yeah. You’re not going to fall in love with someone who lives deep in the forests of Sumatra if you live in New York City. You just aren’t. But if you happen to be staying in the Sumatran hunk’s spare bedroom for a week, and he’s down and you’re down, then why not?
Well... I have once gotten a place to stay for one night in another city through Tinder.
Thanks so much! Finally getting to replying just to say it was turned in and my other assignment was fine and everything is great. Awesome. Thanks for the moral support!
Speaking of, I got back from CR a few weeks ago. It was FABULOUS! And Monteverde was totally amazing and everyone is so friendly.
Methinks that would be considered discriminatory hiring. Prisons are state actors, even the private contractor ones, so refusing to hire people on the basis of their gender would be potentially problematic.
THIS. This is why I got involved in boyscouts. There wasn’t enough girls, or enough leaders of the girls that wanted to do those activities. So you can’t form a troop with 2 girls.
Lucky you. Not all do, and not all scout leaders are welcoming to new people suggesting a change in the ways they do things. There is an awful lot that do essentially just play games, and do crafts.
It effects everyone differently, much like PMS. I love menopause, too, and it came early for me. No periods, no risk of pregnancy (even though my tubes were tied I was the person that still worried), etc.
(What? What was on after All in The Family on Sunday nights? M*A*S*H? Newhart? I feel like I have to know this now.)
YES. My daughter had to switch GS troops because we didn’t think the activities and environment of the first troop were benefiting her. My girl’s troop goes hiking and camping, does archery and learns how to build fires, all sorts of stuff. Girl Scouts can do anything they want to do, and they have badges for all…
I know this seems like the obvious answer. As others will probably point out, the reason is that Boyscouts of America is a very good organization that already has a wonderful national structure / curriculum in place. My family was heavily involved in Boyscouts- my dad was a scout, then a leader. My brother was a…
But they’re still reliant on an adult to be the leader. Yes, another adult *should* come forward and help them make GS more to their own liking, but how many people do you think are available and willing to do this?
Seriously. My mom started a new troop when I was small because the woman who lead the other troop in town always canceled meetings and didn’t work on organizing activities that earned badges. We camped and built fires and learned first aid and how to sew....it was pretty awesome. These parents just need to step up and…
If he doesn’t love me and want me back, what does that make me???
