Yeah, blindly copying work is not going to have the same effect as actually doing it and thinking through the process. And yes, some of my students will absolutely use it get answers. I had one last year who pulled out his phone in class and tried it in front of me during a test.

Yep, a graphing calculator is a decent tool for exams but I tell my college kids to use Desmos on their homework if they want to be able to see what’s going on in their graphs.
