It’s for posterity!

The biggest problem isn’t twice the number of injectors or pumps. It’s the consumer. Your not going to get the majority of people to regularly clean the intake tract on a DI engine without some draconian method like mandatory service intervals (that say render a vehicle inoperative using a heavily encrypted reset

Agreed.

I have always said that a proper GT car is a sports car that you aren’t embarrassed to take your spouse out to dinner in.

Respectfully, upper body strength, and neck strength are much greater in men, and also the same parts of the body that F1 stresses.

The idea that F1 or any kind of auto racing is pretty much a PS4 video game is laughable. You can’t magically undo hundreds of thousands of years of male Homo Sapiens evolution just by thinking it so. That’s just anti-science.

You’re right, they are small people in the world of sports, but likely high in muscle mass. They are athletic for sure, and my impression of F1 is that it requires both endurance and some amount of brute strength. That second item is what leaves me unconvinced that given the same training and education, and identical

Nigel Mansell laughs at your comment about physical strength

A set of drag radials would solve traction issues. I feel like it would be cheating though

Especially when you’re using American headline capitalization, and therefore it’s even less obvious that you mean scion, as in descendant, instead of Scion, as in the brand.

Agreed, I got all excited that Porsche was going to launch a more affordable sub-brand. Oh well.

That was a really confusing headline. I feel like auto bloggers shouldn’t use words in headlines that are also car brand names.

How are you handling the CANbus integration? Every RX8 swap thread I’ve read basically stops at the point where they try to get some of the “normal car stuff” like the dash and other functions working. I believe the only current solution is to run the stock ecu alongside the new engine’s ecu. Also, do you plan for

Probably a lot less work than the article makes it sound like. People have been putting k-series engines into older civics for over a decade now. Ide be curious to see if current mount kits would have even worked instead of the route he is going. The only real challenge of this swap I could see is getting past the ECU

This is even cooler than the feature car.

I had to cross brand to make a twin turbo 3.6L V6 in an RX8 :) Long live the ATS-V!

Starred for your 6.73% confidence level.

Now this is just a wild, and probably wrong, guess... but custom front clip to an Allard J2 race car?

Obviously...
