Ok so before all the memes and mockery I had time for, and like for, Ken Bone because he managed to get climate change and fracking into a debate, albeit in a very guarded way, while remaining non combative and open ended and allowing me to get a sense of what the real response from both parties are here.

Yes! My significant other works in the energy sector and have been waiting for this to be addressed.

Same. The way he phrased it was talking about dealing with resources while preserving jobs. I thought it was about as middle-of-the-road as an ordinary person could get. But I’m not a full-on liberal, so maybe there was some coded language I didn’t catch.

He seemed genuinely happy and excited to be there. And asked a substantive question about energy policy and expected a substantive answer! He was just so out of place.

He didn’t ask a dumb question. His was about energy, climate change and the energy job sector. It’s the one topic everyone said wasn’t getting covered.

I’m in the same boat. I can’t tell whether they’re making fun of him or not. Also, I don’t quite understand people getting mad at him for the undecided thing. I mean, everyone in that audience was supposed to be undecided.

I couldn’t believe that was their initial reaction. The first 30 minutes of the debate (which really are all that matter) were a complete disaster for Trump. He offered no sincere apology for the video, then decided to bring up Bill’s infidelities (which is going to backfire on him), and then decided to hover behind

I had been hoping for a knock out blow and at first I was a bit apprehensive at how this might get spun. But, the more I think about it, I think Clinton’s strategy was pretty damn brilliant. People were hoping for craziness, a show. Clinton refused to engage and in the moment I thought it hurt her and in a way I was

I can’t fathom the kind of person who gets angry on the entire male gender’s behalf about women’s fears that any man they meet could potentially be a rapist, and yet also says “Boys will be boys!” in response to sexual assault allegations.

Yeah, there was a lot of “Well he didn’t completely bomb so they were kind of even” talk happening post-debate. As they got into the issues more some of them starting actually picking away at his answers and his behavior, but the first 15 minutes or so of all the news programs made it sound like it was way more of a

It seems like viewers are saying he beat expectations because they were literally the lowest ever, of anyone ever debating for President, but that she also still beat him, definitively.

She definitely won the debate.

That video. Interviewer says that in 1998, Trump defended Bill Clinton against the allegations, saying that Bill was the real victim and that his accusers were “terrible” and “unattractive”.

And that insane press conference with Clinton’s accusers from the 90s. I feel like I’m in a bizarro world.

Television media is downright repugnant, in my opinion. How can any real journalist watch Trump’s ramblings, lies, and threats, and then let someone just proclaim him the winner with no pushback? I’m not one to blame the media for everything, but shit, man. It’s insane.

“There are members of Congress, current and former, who have rubbed up against women and who have put their tongues in their mouths uninvited.”

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Little off topic but I’m reassured to see that a majority of people polled felt Clinton won the debate. I was worried the media was trying to spin it as a draw.

Oh honey, that’s because you are too old for him. He likes women his daughter’s age. *barf*
