Judging solely by their names, either twins or an overly cheerful couple.

Good material, shitty delivery.
this guy is not funny - it’s great for him that he’s succeeding with his tv show - more power to him, but that doesn’t make him a comedian either. Every time I see this guy, standup or behind the desk, it’s like amateur night.
Yeah, I don’t find him that funny on his show either. He’s awkward imo.
That’s how I am too. I read the jokes in text form above and was cracking up. Then watched it and was like, “bleh.” Difference between a great joke writer and a great joke teller. Wilmore’s definitely the former.
That was the best joke of the night. Just apart from anything else, it was just a really well-written joke.
There was nothing wrong with most of his jokes (though the Guantanamo ones did show a fundamental misunderstanding of the issue that undercut any humor).
“I am confused with Bernie Sanders’s stance on guns. He seems to be anti-gun everywhere except Vermont. Bernie doesn’t care who gets a gun in Vermont. There are no black people in Vermont.”
I hate to agree with this because I was so excited when he got the show, but it’s pretty close to the truth.
He consistently has great one-liners, but his delivery almost always seems off. I was hoping he’d hit his stride with the show, but guess that’s just his way.
Agreed. I was looking forward to biting humor, making fun of white people, etc. Especially during the first half, it just wasn’t funny. I get most of my news via the web, not from tv, so maybe that was part of the problem? And Wilmore’s delivery was amateurish. He got better with the Zodiac killer parts. Otherwise, I…
Pretty much my only fond memory of Antonin Scalia was when Colbert “bombed” in his WHCD performance. Everyone was in full Mrs. Lovejoy won’t-somebody-please-think-of-the-children mode, but Scalia was falling out of his chair laughing (even at jokes made at his own expense).
Larry Wilmore is like your average Internet snarky comment section personified into an awkward comedian.
I thought the jokes were funny. Larry Wilmore, not so much. Honestly, I don’t like his delivery.
Nothing beats the Anger Translator, IMO, but this is some seriously good shit.
I like CSPAN, but his HDMI1 joke cracked me up
The jokes got groans because they were groan-worthy.
I thought he was pretty awful actually. I don't blame the audience for not laughing more.
