Agreed. At least we might still have Tyrell! *sarcasm*

I immediately thought of this once it became clear Gideon wasn't going to survive the conversation. That said, I did think Alex's analysis of it hit the nail on the head, which made the decision somewhat more palatable to me.
I think the evolution of the opening tag sums up my (similar) frustration with the series. For the first three seasons, before (almost?) every episode, the show introduced itself by stating:
The Cylons were created by man
They rebelled
They evolved
There are many copies
And they have a plan
Hulu original programming. Excellent first season; current second season hasn't been quite up to snuff.
It's possible that I missed the memo on this, but what happened to the Casual reviews? WOT keeps telling me it falls under "Regular coverage", but I've yet to see a review this season. Has it been dropped from the review rotation?
With regard to Ben getting eaten: my impression was that he hears the voice of his friend Xavier, only to witness Xavier getting eaten as he approached. Since this would put the death of a First Generation member on Jason, without killing Ben, I'm guessing that's the setup the show has created.
Totally serious: "Girth Brooks" is the name of gay4pay porn star. I practically guffawed when she dropped that bomb.
AVC: Do you like other TLC songs?
Holy crap!
Holy crap!

As a (not-quite-)shallowgay, I really have never seen the appeal. Or, more accurately, I certainly can understand why people find him attractive, but the obsession seems a bit much for a man who has not once warmed my cockles (though I'll admit that the sex scene from this episode probably did more to further that…
