Yes, in this case a c-section would suck less than a natural birth. I gave birth to a 10lb baby and am still disabled by my pelvis tearing apart. A 6+-week section recovery sounds like a dream to me. I wish I had had one.

Yes there are various studies, including that regular exercise can help with diastasis recti. However having a taut six pack could actually increase your risk of splitting your abs. Similarly weight lifting can cause pelvic organ prolapse in some people. Be careful with heavy weights!
