"Cook dinner a few times a month."
"Cook dinner a few times a month."
Same. There's no way those shuffling bastards could get a deer unless there were a bunch of them coming from all directions. And even if they got one, every deer within hearing would scatter at the sounds they make. Same for smaller game, too.
Or, if you have a defensible position and a crazy man with a sword is about to behead the moral center of your group, maybe someone SHOOT HIM. I am still mad about how the prison fell. I get that it needed to for the planned plot, but that no one could read that group with the Governor and see that they weren't all on…
But there's a difference between showing us four seasons of people having to make hard decisions and showing us wave after wave of bad guy who seems to be evil because of exactly one negative event. I feel like, if you asked anyone in Rick's crew, they'd give you a list of things that went wrong, but none of the bad…
True, and they became a part of Rick's crew, which is basically how the show shakes out. If you join Rick, you're good. If you don't join Rick, you do some sort of evil thing. With the Governor it was interesting because he was presenting this façade of trying to be civilized while doing horrible things where his…
I personally consider it cheating in making me cry and have feelings and will be demanding my money back. You know, when that becomes a thing I can do.
Not only that, but the wild game situation has got to be epic at this point because there's no hunting season to cut back the herds. They're probably no more than two feet from a deer at any given time, and yet it's all junk food. Yeah, it's hard to store meat, but with that many people, you could easily tear through…
They've done such amazing work with her. I keep waiting for them to fall into a trap given the show gets tropey at times, but they've really done right by her and given her a full arc, and she's both the baddest ass in the world and the most genuine in terms of wanting everyone to be safe and taken care of.
That's really the core of my issue with the show. I really, really enjoy the show, but I am so tired of the "Everyone is evil who isn't in Rick's crew." They haven't met a single person in charge of another community who hasn't been bat shit crazy balls, and I know it's the same in the comics. The writers (and…
Tech writer high-five!
And I think his further reluctance is connected to the girls they were traveling with (whose names escape me right this second), one of whom murdered her sister, and the other he and Carol made the decision to kill because there was just no getting her help in the current situation. Which tugged at my heartstrings a…
I have been screaming about their lack of doing this since they did it early in season 1 and then completely ignored it for FOUR SEASONS. And when it happened last night, I shouted, "Of COURSE Carol does it!" Because I swear she's the only one with some goddamn sense most of the time.
Or what about the new GTA that the female reviewer gave a 9 or 9.5 (can't remember) because she was very unhappy with the massive sexism, and she got fucking death threats because she said it was 90% GOOD.
It's always "Well, it's funny because it makes you uncomfortable" or someone trying to claim the actual definition of the word is what should be taken and not the definition as it is when you're actually talking to a person. They've got like three tricks, and they're old as hell.
Kinja, seriously, I decided mid-rant to not. Could you actually cancel comments when I hit cancel?
My biggest issue with the whole set-up was that Mary was clearly in charge along with Gareth, and she's the one who confronts Carol to try and explain, and she gets to say the catchphrase "You're the butcher, or you're the cattle," but at the end, after she's clearly been raped, she doesn't get to reclaim what twisted…
They accused me of silencing them because I called them liars on twitter. That's all I did. I flat out said gamergate was based on lies and bullshit, and they accused me of silencing. I pointed out I never said they had to shut up or tried to threaten them. I was dissenting, and that's different.
I know the feeling. I first saw his garbage side when Gail Simone tweeted it was a disappointment to find out how hateful he was, and he tweeted back and called her some names. I don't remember what, exactly, but I'm pretty sure he called her a bitch at least once. And then I actually read his feed and went, "Oh. Oh,…
As needed to be "shocking" and "ironic" of course. They don't really "mean it." It's just because bitches gotta learn not to be bitches.
And the guy who makes me occasionally hate that I like him so much on Firefly.
