I live in a completely different state than my family. Even if I did Skype them (I don’t, we just call), and spend 15 minutes on the phone with each living family member that doesn’t live with me that I’m even moderately close to, that’s only an hour and a half.

I never thought I’d be one of those people who say “think of the children!”, but honestly, I can’t help thinking that. How many kids didn’t get games they desperately wanted in the past couple of months because parents made them eagerly await for Christmas, then they will have that moment of elation when they rip open…
