I think what makes Google work is that it is no-frills. It does what it is supposed to do. It doesn't have a ton of 'features' that you never use screaming at you to use them. There's no wasted space, just search results.

We do an 8 page alumni newsletter a couple times a year. I went on Magcloud just to price compare vs. KwikKopy and it's just about double! It's a nice feature if you actually have an audience that will go out and order it themselves, but for most it's still cheaper to go with your local copy guy. Most people that…
I dunno, Windows 7 is looking pretty good. Microsoft may actually manage to close the gap. But Apple fans are loyal.
The ribbon is horrendous. It was the equivalent of breaking up and scrambling a 5000 piece puzzle right after someone had put it together.

Or get a Dish DVR, which has a button to do this. :D
The great thing about Firefox, and why I will always support it, is that they are always ahead of the competition - even when they are behind it. They are always working on improving the browser and always end up one-upping whoever looks to one up them. They weren't content like I.E. and they didn't try an charge…
This is an outrage! I DEMAND a refund!
Google maps, although both have led me astray at least twice. :D
It really works out for you in the long run. You figure that a headhunter or staffing agency already skims from the top and causes your initial salary to be lower. If a friend does the referral, you will most likely start at a higher salary and they get a nice little incentive.
@Bruno Kussler Marques: I agree. You don't even have to do cash necessarily. Why not tell your friends you'll buy them a PS3 or BluRay player, or something like that. I think it's pretty creative and gives people incentive to job hunt for you.
Thanks for creating what is probably my favorite daily website. I've gleaned a ton of information from this site that I've been able to use in both my professional and personal life. So here's to ya!

Spyware Terminator also kills CPU's. :D It utilizes them wayyy too much and ends up slowing down your computer. Just my experience. I've had much better results with Spybot, Spywareblaster, and Malwarebytes.
Chrome just doesn't impress me much. And when FF3.1 comes out, it will have the pr0n mode, which is the only Chrome feature I really like.

@quagmire0: And don't forget the Obama special edition sticker too! Get it now!!!! Watch the countdown of people who got it!! Pay for it if you want!! :D
+1 to the irrelevance of this post. But as a McCain voter, I have to hand it to the Obama machine. They really, really know how to promote. Along with moveon.org, they have their stuff together. I can only hope that the Republican party will 'get with it' in the same way.
