If I have really bad service, I tip 10% and tell the manager about it. I am a small business owner, and would like to know if one of my employees is harming my image, so I extend that courtesy to others. If I am offered a gift certificate or something I usually decline.

If/when I buy a Chevy SS, it will be very tempting to rebadge it back into a Holden.

Bought this for $4200. Previous owner put in a '69 Pontiac 400. Goes like stink.

I've mostly owned GM cars. I've never had any major failures (i.e. bad head gaskets, etc), and have driven all my GM cars to at least 130k miles, and then handed them off to the next owner. I've only really had wear items fail, and I've learned to do most of the work myself. I've never had a repair bill over $800.

I bought a '65 Tempest in much better shape for about the same price, and it came with a '69 Pontiac 400 in it. CP.

If the MI DNR is anything like the WI DNR, they will always keep a file open on your property. my warehouse had a buried fuel tank that was properly removed by the previous owner. the DNR required 10 years of soil tests and our property will always remain under their watch as an "open case". And the tank never

Yeah, I knew someone who had a leaky tank. They spent about $150k in remediation. And then their property had zero value, and they basically had to turn it over to the city to get rid of it. No one would buy it.

Department of Natural Resources. Here in Wisconsin, they're like the local EPA. Any property that has had any sort of auto maintenance done on it gets a nice once-over by those folks. They will do soils test and require underground tanks to be inspected. If they find ANYTHING in the soil, prepare to start writing

Yeah, except it is a VERY poor idea to buy any property that has had a garage on it. You will get very familiar with the DNR, and not in a good way.

When I bought my '65 Tempest, I wanted to change the oil right away (always a good idea to do for any used car you buy). I looked in the truck and was excited to find that the previous owner had left me a spare filter. So I changed the oil and fired the engine up. Luckily, I almost immediately noticed that a nice

Except their filters are crap (I'm looking at you AC Delco).

I bought a GMC Sierra. Mostly because the dealer that sells Chevy in my area won't haggle and I could get a slightly better deal on the GMC (plus a free snow blower!!). But also because I perceive Chevy to be an inferior brand, but that perception only extends to the brand. I know the trucks are identical. But

Lincolns are at the top of our list for our next car. Either the MKZ or the new MKC (the MKC hasn't come to our market yet, so we have yet to test drive it).

40k miles on our Pop edition (read: base model). Only issue has been a hubcap fell off right after we had it in to the Fiat dealer for an oil change and the clock runs a bit slow. The tires are wearing a bit faster than I'd hoped too. But overall I am pretty happy. It was a $14k car brand new. I wasn't expecting

Wisconsinite here. Went to Ohio State for my bachelors degree. Everyone I know from Ohio is smug about Ohio. It's a huge turnoff. (Oh, is Ohio the birthplace of aviation? I wasn't aware of that.) Plus Columbus is 75% hipsters and 25% hillbillies. Not a great combo.

I should take a picture of it in the Fiat, with the kid in the carseat next to it. You have to fold down one of the back seats, but it all fits in. Barely.

We have a 1 year old, and just found out we have another on the way. We currently DD a GMC Sierra extended cab (I need a truck for my business) and a Fiat 500. We frequently make LONG road trips (up to 1200 miles) every year to visit family and for vacations, but otherwise mostly commute in town.

We have a travel system jogging stroller that would fit in the back of any wagon. It's not super small, but it isn't monstrously huge either. Pick the right stroller and kid equipment so you don't have to buy a Tahoe just because you have a kid.
