Her response of “not been able to stay on top of everything” immediately reminded me of a scene from Succession, where Brian Cox’s character says he’s “not operationally involved” in reference to allegations his company covered up rape and murder...
Says the guy who immediately decided the most prominent politician of color would pardon a guy who he thinks is lying about being attacked. But sure, you’re not the least bit racist.
Gosh, why would anyone think you were racist?
People are expressing a lot of sick glee over this. And.. I’m not sure what there is to be gleeful about. Is it all about “owning the libs”? Everyone seems to be crowing about how “ha ha they thought they were so woke by believing a nation run by a white supremacist could produce people who would violently assault a…
The real clusterfuck is this comment section
I can understand why Jussie did this, or what his motives might have been, but I also kind of think that the people who pull these stunts and the people who decry the glamorization of “victimhood culture” are both sort of on the same screwed-up page here.
Hey AV Club, your white people are using racial slurs again and feeling just a tad too comfortable doing it. Gee, what a shock. Reel this shit in.
I’ve been looking for a decent, reasonable response to this whole mess, and this is an excellent one.
Here’s the thing about this. Regardless of how this situation turns out, this is a tragedy. If Jussie is telling the truth, then he not only has to live with the trauma of being violently attacked, he’s going to have conspiracy theory nuts screaming at him the rest of his life. If he did, for whatever bizarre region,…
Next stop for Jussie: rehab for some nebulous issue.
No
The fuck is wrong with you.
Incorrect, O’Brien came out and explicitly stated the decision to fire her was made right after she attacked the community. They couldn’t, however, because it was 4th of july and they were all on vacation.
She didn’t call it sexism, she was saying she was being mansplained to (she was), and that tweet about totalbiscuit is pretty irrelevant, and really not the worst thing that was said about him.
It actually does in a situation like this when they are quite clearly pointing to ONE event and firing the only two individuals involved with it in such a quick turn around.
I’m just gonna add fuel to the fire....the guy got a snarky comment and snow flake cried over it ...which led to more snowflake crying. Its her personal twitter..she was not opening a discussion just merely stating an insight. If you get enough BS guys coming around telling you how to do your job because your a girl…
No one was claiming she was fired over sexism. She and a male co-worker were both fired. The issue was she wasn’t fired over her past behavior or that she was fired, at all. The issue is she was fired simply to silence an online mob and that is a problem that has opened the door for more harassers to try and get…
That “legitimate discussion” was some jaggoff asking the most basic bitch question to someone who could teach a 500 level college course on the subject.
Jessica: “in-depth explanation of the problems in narrative game design in MMOs”
Internet Rando: “Have you tried dialogue wheels?”
Fucking miss me with this shit.
Think The Sopranos—schlubby, blue collar protagonist, beautiful wife, two kids—but a three camera sitcom this time, with more catchphrases and lazy innuendo.
