As anybody who's seen Better Call Saul can attest, he's really great at burns.

The game was going to take place in Tacoma, Washington. It was set in a house, so it was too much like Gone Home, and they decided to take it to space, but they kept the name and called the space station Tacoma.

I took his point as more about making a character's death have consequences, even if they're resurrected. It's easy to see Gandalf The White and forget he's somebody who has died, less so for Lady Stoneheart.

It's hemorraging so much money they made two spin-off shows to run concurrently

Then again, he wrote them under what sounds like a pretty bad environment with major budget cuts in mind, with a bad enough relationship with the network that he got fired shortly after. Maybe not the best circumstances for great writing.

His last e-mail was such bullshit too. He threatened to kill either the camera op, the director, the producer, or the lead actor, but didn't explain which one until his next e-mail

I'll add to the mob of pitchfork/torch-wielders over The Leftovers.

Does anybody happen to know Dion's Barter stat?

That last picture is fucking hilarious.

This reminded me a lot of the Pasha arc from the most recent season of The Americans.

This new season has gotten a little flack, and while it's probably the weakest of the three, it's also probably going to be among the top ten shows this year. I wouldn't see this as ending on a low note whatsoever.

Chico McDirk's behaviour with Anya Jenkins on the AV Club should not be tolerated anywhere.

And I think his master at the beginning may have been Ewan McGregor.

It's not about making them wittier or more profound, it's about separating them from the rest of the movie - in the case of superhero movies, they often essentially work as commercials. Other times they may be jokey scenes which don't fit the tone of the total film, but are pretty fun in isolation. They'd be kind of

My immediate feeling is pretty positive! I've always preferred the smaller, more isolated episodes of Girls, and I think they brought in and focused on the right characters for this ending.

I thought one or two got shot and it became way less fun to fuck with people by dressing up in clown makeup

I really hope this comes back :(

"From SWAMP, two ogres were born."

Shrek V. It will be tonally and stylistically similar to The Sopranos, placing an emphasis on the feeling that the world is only going to get worst and that the best days (Shrek 1-4) are far behind you.

I can't handle this. I've been waiting since I was in the eighth grade, now I'm almost graduating university.
