I think geography matters. We’re a MUCH bigger country and people only feel it’s a “home” team within a certain radius. NFL has 32 teams, NHL has 31 teams, MLB has 30, NBA has 30. A little different bc we have USL and lower level teams that people are devoted to, but I think we can sustain 30-ish easily

I wouldn’t think this is true. One of the selling points of any car is its resale value. If second hand cars with manual transmissions were of particular value their prices would be higher and the original owners would recoup more. If original owners were more likley to tecoup more, they’d be more likely to buy them…
