Folks please stop the hysteria! Listen carefully - the speed drops to 1-2 mph after the retro rocket system fires. Post impulse, the speed drops VERY quickly from 20 mph to 1-2 mph. This is reflected by the sudden drop in speed and the dust cloud and YES this is a safe deceleration for humans.
