Accidentally using Roman coffins as planters is surprisingly common over here.
1 is the cheapest chassis, 8 is the most expensive. That makes sense.
I use my car for (at most) two hours a day. The other 22 it’s either parked at work or at home. It’s a waste of space, if I’m honest, but I hate public transport. Assuming they’re getting better than 8% utilization out of their cars it’s likely they’re a net benefit to traffic and parking.
The 5 door hatchback 1 series is 4329mm long. The 3 series is 4624mm long. That’s only 30cm, or 1 foot shorter, and 20cm of that is in the wheelbase. That means you would really struggle to put a boot on the 1 series without making it longer than the 3 series, and the only company that’s had their smaller car longer…
As soon as the 1 series came out that was pretty much a given. Everyone says “it’d be fantastic if it had just a bit more room in it” and then all of a sudden it’s the same size as an E90 and they have to shuffle everything up to make room. The only problem now is that the inevitable 0 series sounds silly.
to be fair the UK Apaches were a bit better at “Hot and high” which was handy in Afghanistan, allowing more munitions to be carried. It in no way justfied doubling the price though.
Listening to it on Test Match Special is the best way. The first time I ever took a cab in New York the cabbie was from Bangalore and was listening to it on the BBC World Service. Quite an odd situation.
So Israel want to spend billions on purchasing a stealthy aircraft which makes up for compromised maneuverability with battlefield connectivity and a fully integrated supply and planning system, and then make it not stealthy, reduce its ability to dogfight further, rip out the electronics suite and hack up a new…
What’s likely to be more useful for people is that the train could arrive daily in Europe instead of once a week as the ships do. If you want to keep a lean supply chain there’s a significant advantage in having a larger number of small deliveries. It will also be a lot less susceptible to weather delays, which are…
I’d be intrigued to see what this looks like if you looked at the numbers as a ratio of the number of cars sold by those brands in a year. Looks like Saab owners are extra-dumb.
To my mind that doesn’t really make much difference - Congress will make sure that all he can do is act angry and disappointed, even if he did know what to do.
It’s a very GM move. Mercedes’ reason for the S-Class is making the best car in the world, and GM’s rationale is that it would rather be making bank by slinging pimped pickup trucks. Each to their own, I suppose.
Safety seats? I used to ride around in the trunk when I was small. That was fun.
I knew I should have bought this on PC...
Isn’t that a Bertone X1/9 though? According to Wikipedia it stayed in production at Bertone thanks to Malcolm Bricklin. That dude was involved with a lot of weird-ass cars.
I’m confused. The last real Trans-Am was just a Camaro with bodywork by G.R. Giger, wasn’t it? How is this all that different?
Yeah...You’re wrong. High Altitude Ballooning enthusiasts use smartphones for GPS tracking via text message. Here’s an example, you can find dozens of other examples.
