Here in Europe it’s the other way around, but rental cars are still ruined. I once had a Vauxhall with 5,000 miles on it that no longer had synchromesh on second gear.

At least her kids are going to have a good excuse when someone says “I saw your Mom on Pornhub”.

US plates on cars here in Europe is a thing, especially in the UK. The G at the end of the registration marks this as a ‘69/70 car.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Great read. Thanks!

You do know that Budapest in in Europe, don’t you?

Cover for me has been running at things with a shotgun, while screaming at the TV.

These security guards are pretty shit, if I’m honest. They stopped them for the turbans, not for the knife that Sikhs are supposed to carry at all times?

Probably better than a whole fighter jet though?

Now playing

I think you underestimate how powerful these lasers are becoming.

That’s the bit really. If you can target the seeker head (which can’t be protected from radiation entering it by the very nature of a seeker head) then you can kill the missile.

The interesting question for me is whether Land Rover will sell it in the US as a work truck or a lifestyle vehicle. Because they’re so awful to drive on the road, people do not often choose them for lifestyle reasons here in the UK so we get nice work truck versions:

Lead lined power armor and Rad-X, as well as some careful routing to avoid the really hot areas, would make it about possible. If there’s a fixed pattern to the weather there are certain periods when the Glowing Sea’s radiation is lowered, so that’s also an option if it can be exploited. You’d need to run pretty much

The BMW i8 laughs in the NSX’s face. One drove past me the last time I was in London, and the thing has real presence.

I’d watch this again except I’d have a funk aneurysm. It seems completely crazy that they’d just let a band go for that long - didn’t they have some counting to do?

Perhaps he was from Europe, and thought that Baja 1,000 meant that it was only supposed to be one kilometre?

I love this bit. Look at how the windscreen, door top and bonnet meet at a point. This is the part that’s screwed up on so many modern cars to get around the pedestrian impact regulations, and lots of manufacturers try to hide it with fussy detailing. Volvo have put in the effort to get it to all line up properly.

So why isn’t it “Beat Cait in a fight?” That would make a hell of a lot more sense anyway.

The problem is that there is not a big market for very small riding ponies.

Loeb is almost too good - I think he may well have been ditched because he makes a series a little predictable. While it’s nice to win every time, it’s nicer to have lots of people see you win most of the time.
