Still a bumbling idiot like a fox.

I don’t street race. And I have an enormous penis.

Go read People v Ridout (2006) and try that again.

I agree with everything you’ve written, apart from blaming the street racers for the death. The road is no place for racing and it’s dangerous, but legally they can’t take the blame. Morally, they might have something to think about, but we don’t know the full story.

Go read some case law. People v Ridout (2006) was posted earlier, doesn’t seem to be a perverse ruling, and if followed in this case would absolve the “street racers” of responsibility for the woman’s death once she left a place of apparent safety to return to her vehicle. And please find a new insult, dumbshit is

If a driver changed lane in front of me I would already be braking to increase the gap that I would be left with. Unless they were driving a car with braking capability way in excess of my own car (such as a Ferrari) I would be able to avoid a crash. Needless to say I get a lot of people cutting in front of me,

And you know what? I’m going to prove it. It’s “you’re”, not “your”.

Someone else posted the case of People v Ridout (2006) which mentions the doctrine of apparent safety. Essentially, if she was somewhere safe (on the side of the road and not in a running lane, which is specifically mentioned in the case as an apparently safe place) the blame counter resets, and any subsequent action

They could have, but we just don’t know. As I’ve said previously if they had hit her I’m sure it would have made it into the story - it would have made everything much clearer, rather than the vague language that has been deployed.

It seems the law says you can.

I’ll see that, and raise you apparent safety doctrine.

That case does make it pretty clear then - The apparent-safety doctrine mentioned within would suggest that once she was safely sat on the side of the road waiting for the cops to arrive the blame was reset.

There are limits to that. Someone has posted a link somewhere in the comments that I can’t find regarding a case where a spare wheel fell off the back of an SUV due to defective mountings. The manufacturer was liable for that, but not for the subsequent actions of the SUV owner.

For so long, my car warned me of “DANGER TO MANIFOLD” by way of semaphore.

What video evidence? The video evidence that someone has told you that someone else has told someone else they have seen, but haven’t told you what it shows?

That only holds true if they did something. Nothing in this article or in any of the links confirms that their possible (check the Sun-Sentinel link, it’s not even certain that they changed lanes in front of her) actions had any causative effect, either direct or indirect. Until further information is provided, or

And I’m sure you’re a lovely person too.

Are you aware of the concept of “innocent until proven guilty?”

Here’s a picture of my “whip”, or at least one like it. I must confess my car does have the optional 16 inch alloys, but they’re still very tasteful.
