The virus is being spread by people who are asymptomatic and presymptomatic. Wearing a mask can reduce your chances of transmitting it to others. If you are concerned about a shortage of surgical masks for healthcare workers, then wear a reusable cloth mask. It’s not perfect but it’s better than nothing.

I’m a year and a half sober, and this is very trying...at least I’m still working. While I’m working I get to provide IT services to a wife that is telecommuting and a pair of surly teenagers as well, that all seem to have issues that I’ve never caused/experienced in 30 years of playing with computers.

This is absolutely true. I’m an engineer and have been practicing for 14 years now. If anything, becoming an expert in something has taught me how little I likely know about things in which I just have a passing knowledge. Sure, basic concepts in most industries or scientific fields... an expert could explain it to me
