Even if it came with a briefcase with $40k in the trunk, I’d have a hard time thinking that was a good deal...

And this, dear readers, is why the United States has, and will continue to have, the highest number of COVID 19 cases in the world.

Most people I know that are “cruisers” (their term, not mine) all share one common trait: they are incredibly boring fucking people. These are the same folks that have opinions on which Chili’s is better in their suburb.

So maybe if this industry dies, these people will be slightly less boring. Aside from the awful

Ghouliani’s advice was probably something along the lines of “Before you say anything publicly about these drugs, let me call our brokers and invest heavily in the companies that make them.”

The virus is being spread by people who are asymptomatic and presymptomatic. Wearing a mask can reduce your chances of transmitting it to others. If you are concerned about a shortage of surgical masks for healthcare workers, then wear a reusable cloth mask. It’s not perfect but it’s better than nothing.

I saw someone spell it “walla” on a forum. I would have shot him if I could.

I decided to go bald since I can’t get a proper haircut (usually bi weekly) so I looked around for clippers. They were none!

Keep on kicking ass sober.

I’m a year and a half sober, and this is very trying...at least I’m still working. While I’m working I get to provide IT services to a wife that is telecommuting and a pair of surly teenagers as well, that all seem to have issues that I’ve never caused/experienced in 30 years of playing with computers.

I loved destroying these wankers in my creative writing classes when I had to edit their crap.

This is absolutely true. I’m an engineer and have been practicing for 14 years now. If anything, becoming an expert in something has taught me how little I likely know about things in which I just have a passing knowledge. Sure, basic concepts in most industries or scientific fields... an expert could explain it to me

I’ve been in this for over a year already.

Only it wasn’t a virus, it was being perpetually broke.
It’s hard to have any sort of social life without money. Everything we do socially pretty much has a costs. It costs to go out, but it also costs to have people over.

I’m hoping some people will learn what it’s like to be

You’ve heard the maxim that it’s far far more expensive to acquire a new customer than keep an existing one? (And yet, so so many companies botch this.) Part of this is habit. Humans are for the most part creatures of habit. And to keep an existing customer, you just need to keep feeding their habit (e.g. a latte

Musk is really one of those guys who hates being wrong, possibly even more than Trump.

Larry Kudlow was fired from Bear-Stearns for a cocaine addiction.  How bad must his coke habit been if an investment bank thought it was TOO MUCH?

Yeah I was going to do a Trump satire about how he’s kick starting the trucking industry but it just feels wrong.

This. Conspiracy theories offer control -- the idea that YOU understand, and therefore YOU are in a unique position and are important and needed because you can spread the word.

US Politics simplified:

Plus a few G-Wagens, S-Classes, and even a civilian H1 - presumably owned by politicians or criminals.

You must not know any anarchists. The ones I know are tireless community organizers and activists and deeply moral people.
