Friends of mine from Scotland are currently in their third day at Newark. They are headed to Phoenix and have already missed pre-paid hotels and half a week of a rental car (about 25% or so of their holiday).
She’s been told (incorrectly) for the past ten years that the borders are “open” and that anyone and everyone can just wander across and immediately be given welfare and some puppies by the US Govt.
Against international law, been studying for 30+ years (I was in grad school with geologists doing groundwater studies at Yucca Mountain and I am old as F), and is that really a solution?
Came to say the same thing - truck drivers, waiters and waitresses, agricultural workers, etc. etc. Plenty of people, too few employers willing to pay the going rate (or a living wage).
None of it is. You do realize that there are alternatives to both fossil fuels and nuclear, right? Take a look at how Norway, Canada, the UK, and Iceland generate power. Nuclear’s time has come and gone.
There are? That’s news to me. I’d genuinely like to know where the safe permanent stores for nuclear waste are in the US, UK, or Europe.
I’m going to take my personal experience and that of my friends who own the same vehicle over people making shit up for clicks and likes.
And any senators or congresspeople who might vote to cut the budgets of these agencies will be quietly reminded just how much kompromat the three letter agencies have on them.
How long have you owned your new model Defender? And how many miles do you have on it?
I think you mis-spelled “valid concerns over safety, pollution, and the fact there is still nowhere to safely store nuclear waste”
Because British Airways are a low cost carrier masquerading as a premium carrier and charging premium carrier prices. Don’t worry, they also charge business and first class passengers a fee to choose their seats, which literally no other airline I have ever used does.
That old chestnut.
Looks OK, but I’ll stick with my Defender 110.
According to the NIH (yes, I know Fox News viewers won’t believe them) “The number of COPD cases in India was a staggering 55.3 million in 2016 and is the second common cause of deaths due to NCD. Evidence from India suggested the COPD prevalence increases with age and exponentially after 30 years of age.”
Your opinions, thoughts, feelings and emotions have zero impact on me. I was pointing out the flaw in your logic in a mistaken effort to educate you. Clearly my time and effort was wasted. Good luck with the rest of your life
Already sold out to “collectors" who will never drive it.
You are defending demonstrable bad actors, which makes you complicit in their bad behavior.
I’m 6'2" and have flown with Air New Zealand, Fiji Airways, Air Tahiti Nui, Malaysian, Thai, Korean, JAL, ANA, British Airways, Lufthansa, Air France, Alitalia (RIP), Austrian, Lauda Air, Turkish, SAS, Virgin Australia and Atlantic, Icelandair, Air Canada, First Air/ Canadian North, WestJet, and probably a bunch more…
Will I still be yelled at because I have the temerity to have a titanium implant in my hip?
