I was flying out of Biloxi MS airport a few years ago and the guy in front of me had an absolutely massive handgun in his carryon - think Desert Eagle or similar. Not sure how you can “forget” a gun that is close to a foot long and must weigh a few pounds. The TSA agent handed it right to him and he wandered off to

They take up a huge amount of room, though - so unless you live in a 5000 sq ft home in a suburb somewhere they may not be practical

And will that cost be 3-5X the regular price as it is currently?

They can just declare the whole state a low emission zone (like an increasing number of cities in Europe). You *can* drive into the city / state in a gas/diesel vehicle but it will cost you. It’s currently over $300 a day for a truck over 3.5 tons that doesn’t meet emissions standards to drive in central London.

Full size pickups and Jeep Wranglers - which ironically are first vehicles of choice for a large proportion of kids in the US and Canada.

EVs for business rentals makes sense for a decent proportion of my work travel - but I’m very curious to see whether they are going to require you to return it “full” or try to charge 3-5X regular rates for any shortfall.

Wasn’t the guy on fire Steve Matchett who used to be one of the US broadcast’s commentators?

I had the pleasure of visiting the TSA headquarters for a work meeting some years ago. Literally everyone there from the receptionist to the people we were meeting with was a rude, arrogant, asshole. The whole organization is fundamentally rotten and mismanaged and has been since day one.

The first Cullinan I saw in the metal tried to run me down when I was crossing the street in London (with priority).  It’s not an attractive vehicle made even less so by the kind of people that buy and drive it.

Good luck with that.  Hope you don’t go to a hospital looking for help when it’s too late.  Have the courage of your convictions.

The Discovery has been hit hard enough on the front left to move the bumper and the grille / trim.  That’s presumably why the wheel is at 2 o clock when the tires are facing forward.  These are pretty tough but anyone considering this should look long and hard at the front suspension and frame rails

Volcanic mud / debris flows are lahars.  Lahore is a city in India

I lived in eight different places in the four years of grad school, and then every two years for the decade after that.

Which is exactly what TicketMaster and LiveNation have been doing for the last ten years. 30-50% of the tickets never go on sale, they are routed right to scalpers to resell them at multiples of face value.

The electric series II landrover is nice, but there appears to be an extra zero mistakenly added to the price

I have NEXUS and have had it for over ten years. As you say, when you apply you have to go to the Canadian border and be interviewed and scanned by both Canadian and US people (there’s an office in Ottawa airport where half is “in the US” and the other half is Canadian).

A few years ago in my home town a guy went to his remote garage / workshop and saw some people breaking into it so he called the police and they told him they were too busy to come and do anything.

I’ve driven hundreds of cars all over the world and the Lincoln Mk IV that I drove in Canada in the late 1980s still sticks with me.

I’m sure the 77 year old Porsche “collector” retiree in my town will get one - he had a GT2RS for about 9 months and sold it for a massive profit. It is funny to see cars like this with his disabled tag and Florida plates and see himstruggling to get in and out of it at the Yacht Club. But he was able to buy a new

I know you are trying hard to remember the concepts from high school physics.
