The 300 million tons of confirmed global nickel resources aren’t enough?

Already available in many other parts of the world - I rented a MG ZS last month in the UK. 5 seater, 50 mpg, 5 star crash safety rating, equivalent of $24,000 USD brand new with a 7 year warranty. They also have a fully electric BEV for less than $40k equivalent (including all taxes and excluding the tax credit).

But the 37% marginal tax rate starts at $523k (single), $628k (married) - I don’t recall if he got remarried after the divorce.

So between state and federal taxes I paid a higher percentage of my income in tax than Jeff Bezos (I paid 24% of my AGI in fed and state combined).

That seems awesome

So what you are saying is you want vinyl seats? Or maybe hard plastic like in the NY subway.

Hey, each to their own.  I don’t like leather

Dirt, damage, wear.

See kids, this is what functioning governments can achieve when:
a) they didn’t let boomers decide they no longer wanted to pay taxes in 1980 and
b) they don’t feel the need to spend more on military pork than the next 8 largest spending countries combined.

He’s paying me $9,500 to drive this torque-steering, obsolete, ugly POS? I think I’ll pass.

He wants me to pay him? GTFOH

I ordered my base model Defender specifically for the fabric seats - who wants or needs leather in an off-road vehicle?

Worst first date questions I had (in New York City) were thinly disguised inquiries into my net worth - “where do you live?” “do you own or rent?”

I walked to school alone from the age of six onwards. At eleven I took a train to another town and then a bus from the station to my school.

And now eighteen year olds at my local high school are not allowed to take the bus unchaperoned.  At eighteen I was traveling with friends to other countries.

That’s a fair point - and the shows underestimate by a factor of 2 or 3 how expensive it is to redo a kitchen or a bathroom.

That’s exactly what we did - and 5 years later we have $400-450,000 in equity and we haven’t even addressed all the issues.

Then they would be an employee - and the company could never accept that.

Yes, yes they are.

If only cars had some kind of illuminating devices fitted to them? Some kind of lights, perhaps.

Is a gun, an offensive weapon designed only to kill things, the same as a door?

DB Cooper managed his feat in 1971. That’s 51 years ago.

Agree 100%. We subsidize the fossil fuel industry to a massive degree (and have for close to a hundred years). Let oil and gas pay its own way and switch the subsidies to battery production, solar, and wind.  Zero cost proposal and huge societal benefits.  Win win

Good point - I’m a geologist so I focus on the resource. The processing is the (relatively) easy part when you have the bulk materials.
