I’m kinda confused by the general lack of understanding that pop music is inauthentic and manufactured. These pop stars are not organic, they are not artists. They are performing trite jams that were most likely written and produced by a white man who sells his services to performers.

That’s not how the conversation goes. It’s a dishonest characterization that isn’t helping any kind of discussion.

This is something that I struggle with trying to find productive avenues of discussions. Call-out culture within activism as really stifled criticism of bad tactics. The conversation in this thread of responses demonstrates a divide that isn’t going to be bridged any time soon.

Thinking Republicans and liberals are deeply flawed does not mean thinking they are the same. South Park even explicitly told the viewer to vote for Clinton even if she is deeply flawed.

They’ve sorta strayed from that over the past couple seasons. They have made some pretty pointed critiques about the right and centrists who claim to be left but are beholden to the right.
