“American orchestrated” doesn’t make sense in this comment. A response to US political interference, yes. A sponsored event by the US, no.

I think not giving these sorts of men the time is a start. Stop empowering their garbage perspectives and lifestyles.
That’s what I keep thinking when I read these comments. At what point does a person excuse this sort of behavior? What kinds of compromises are made? I always think about that fundamental level you mentioned and I’m just confounded.
After reading all these comments people have about their partners, I just have to ask: What the hell? So many deal breakers in behavior.
I have the feeling some of the writers here don’t understand much of what they write for themselves.
I take note of that on my iPhone.
Please stay out of this. You don’t know how to talk about this.
They sound like a bad ska band. Leave Bikini Kill out of this.
They sound horrible, so the Jezebel community should be into it.
So many more bands are playing+not getting paid than playing Coachella level nonsense. Or hiring agents to get them promoted to corny pop-outlets that will describe them as “important” and “radical” or as something unique. People trying to make a little money for basic band survival isn’t new or controversial (most of…
This isn’t appropriation. This whole controversy is a bundle of weirdness.
Oh please. Tell me. This should be good.
You just offered a platitude. There’s nothing to say about it because it says nothing. The sky is blue. Sometimes it’s grey.
Why waste the time? If you’re making the argument that you did, you really don’t know what’s going on in punk/hardcore.
So ... ?
I think her fans make those claims for her (which is a problem in itself).
And then you missed 40 years of bands doing things completely contrary to what you’re describing.
Yeah, I totally hate the argument they are presenting. It’s nonsense. Also dislike “Well, if Beyonce and Kendrick play Coachella, it’s cool.” No, it’s not cool and neither are Beyonce and Kendrick if you’re going to stick to any kind of critique of capitalism.
Also, you missed that what these people are doing is a rehash of the politics of mid-90s punk/hardcore. And we are also seeing the problems of tactics that were exposed on a small scale level. Now it’s just mainstream cosplayers fumbling through those problems.
Yeah, no.
