Ahhh....we get to the point where the person with the idiotic point of view pats themselves on the back for being nuanced and willing to go against the grain, without realizing that sometimes the reason EVERYONE tells you you are wrong is because your point of view is stupid, not because you’re a brilliant

Mr Trump’s joke relies on a classic two part structure: Setup, and punch line. The set up establishes a mode of reality, priming the listener for more of the same. The punch line then reverses expectation by introducing an absurd, bizarre, or unexpected notion that often seems contrary to the setup. This turn into the

I truly despise people who think that saying “I was joking” or “I didn’t mean it” means that awful thing they said isn’t still a window into their character. It is. If that’s what you think is funny, that says something about you. If your go-to insults of women have to do not with their capabilities or their

Yeah, I know it can be drying to hair and maybe even a skin irritant to some people (like many other relatively innocuous ingredients), but SLS is hardly something to sue over. Or hide for that matter.

I don’t believe they’re arguing that filling out the form is an undue burden, but that it’s an affirmative action that results in the supplying of birth control, which is against their sincerely held religious beliefs. It wouldn’t matter if the form was two pages, one page, one sentence etc.. It’s not the burden of

I can’t even handle the nerve of their “Help a Sister Out” signs. Like, at worst, this has absolutely no effect on you, but will fuck over tons of other women. Fuck right off, ladies.

I love that, for these people, filling out a two page form is an "undue burden" but 48 hour waiting periods and making women drive 400 miles to the nearest Women's Health clinic isn't.

This guy is the worst. The damage he has caused to countless children and their families, and the zero shame he has. Just ugh.

No, no, no. The running dialogue when those teams jumped was that Missouri was just being greedy and disrespectful to the Big 12. They are the ones who obviously ruined the conference, not Texas. They all should have stuck around and hoped Texas threw them some scraps.

In fact given he was exploiting minors I would say ‘but he has children’ is a reason to send him away for longer. They’ll be better off without him. Especially the son who won’t have the chance to be learning his dickish attitudes to women with him out of the picture.

It doesn’t. He or she is a troll.

Yeah actually died.

Silicon Valley is pitch perfect and I love every minute of it. A parody doesn’t work if you attempt to change the optics of reality.

Hopefully every once and a while the show tries to point to how bizarro it is.

They do have people of color- Kumail Nanjiani right there, for one.

What a weird hill you chose...

I buy this, though. I don’t have a problem with the lack of diversity on this show, because I feel like its entire role is lampooning the absurdity of silicon valley culture. It’s supposed to be an exaggerated version of start-up/venture politics, not an idealized version of it. They even have a whole episode about

I’ve always seen the lack of diversity on the show as an implicit criticism of silicon valley culture. I think having a diverse cast despite the whiteness of the real silicon valley would serve to protect the very people they’re trying to mock.

Louis then goes on to recommend Kasich as a sane candidate people should vote for — you know, super moderate Kasich who wants to make abortion a criminal act and was the initial named party in the case against same sex marriage that went to SCOTUS. Gah.

What I always notice is the extra tragedy always assumed with the phrase, ‘only son,’ particularly in regards to fathers. I have never heard/read that a death was particularly significant because the deceased was the family’s ‘only daughter.’
