Maybe both? Prenatal care isn’t universal, and I would expect it to be less universal for DV situations. Hard to fault the intent, but I agree that’s a rough time, right when you maybe feel pretty physically dependent and exhausted, to ask.

Yeah but that distributor also chooses how your shelf space is allotted. Less cool.
I’m ambivalent about AB-Inbev and Miller merging from a beer point of view. From a distribution point of view, it seems like a disaster. AB before Inbev was such a monster distributer, and this is that much worse. Having such an insane market share doesn’t seem conducive to the free market. I wish they wouldn’t let…
Yes, I use it to calibrate my snark meter all the time.
Life Aquatic is probably my fav, but one of those serendipity movies for me. Freshman year of college, and a swimmer. My opinion isn’t really related to the actual quality of the movie, I just soak in that movie’s atmosphere.
Wow, I didn’t know I was so atypical. Haven’t seen Bottle Rocket, but:
I’m sorry, I’ll wait while you repair your sarcasm meter.
Goddammit, people, sarcasm. When I say there’s no other way to include people of different colors than as decor that should sound silly!
Well people keep saying his movies are too white. Why, is there another way to include people of color?
To be fair, they’re brutal assholes with white girls too. Their last public fuck-up was the messy parking lot arrest of a white girl for buying bottled water that they mistook for beer. They rushed her car, poorly identifying themselves, jumped on the hood, and if I recall, smashed her windows in. And she spent the…
The last VABC fuck up involved arresting a white girl for buying bottled water in a dark parking lot without identifying themselves. That brain trust eventually got promoted, the agency paid her, and then this latest bullshit happened. They are the epitome of a bad agency.
The last time VABC publicly screwed the pooch, they arrested a white sorority girl for buying bottled water that maybe looked like beer in a dark parking lot. The people involved in that brilliance were promoted, even after settlement. Don’t assume they’ll ever really be penalized.
I love how she’s emerging from the building, like “hey guyz, what’s going on here?”
Early coins in the US only featured ideals, and explicitly avoided depicting people. They thought having politicians on currency was demagoguery. On that matter, I agree with them. Far from limiting it *to* politicians, I’d rather limit it *from* politicians.
Ugh, thank you, I was piqued by that research omission as well.
Yea, I thought that was a rather lame comment by the author as well. Does putting ladies on a bill fix millennia of inequality? Duh, of course not. Is it a good thing? YES! And then the hand-wringing about tokenism or erasure. If we want our money to bear the images of people, ANYTHING would be better than our current…
Oh. My. God. The eggnog. I had forgotten. They’d have it in Florida when I visited, but not where I previously lived. OMG I hope they have it where I recently moved.
Yea, no judgement on the imodium, that stuff is gold. Rather I just find it cool that it’s somehow like heroin, since it so totally does *not* feel that way. I used it a lot until I was using it like every other day, which didn’t seem like a solution. I’m a big fan of doing what works.
It only took a couple of days for me to see benefits, which i really did not expect. I guess i did go from wheat powered to no wheat. I decided to start because I did a big move and I was tired of feeling hemmed in by my issues. Starting a new leaf, so to speak. Also, new job with better health plan. I was pretty…
Absolutely! I’m the same way, I’ve been doing everything I could to manage my symptoms, but inexorably, they kept getting worse. Other than taking probiotics and religiously avoiding lactose, this is the first thing that has helped at all, and, delightfully, it’s helped a lot. Good luck!
