He imported it for sale which is the problem I think. Even though it is an auction for charity, it is still probably considered a sale and the state wants it’s cut. It would have probably been fine if he was wearing it and did not mention the auction.

What an extraordinarily ignorant view on children and parenting. This may sound shocking, but tiny children often behave very differently from each other, regardless of the parenting method. 

I’ve flown plenty of times with my kids since they were newborns. They always have been great. If a kid is acting like a little shit head it's probably because their parents don't give a shit and planned poorly.
