Not overkill by any stretch. Dad taught me to have a good “snow kit” in the car (shovel, extra toque, mittens, flask) and the lesson comes in handy often through the winter. It never hurts to be able to help the cute lady from accounting clear her car off in the prking lot after work as well.

I got a snow plow rather than a snow brush. It makes a huge difference on roofs and hoods.
