“The company could face fines of $500 to $100,000 if it fails to argue its case successfully.”
I always bring hand sanitizer and baby wipes for cleaning up surfaces because they’re gross. Same with the bathrooms. As for the water, I usually get bottled water or another beverage instead.
I laughed at this more than I should have. Well done!
If a company has the money to do stock buybacks, then they have the money for R&D. Nothing like propping up the stock price to make Wall Street happy, which of course impacts their bonuses.
Reminds me of New Rome, Ohio.
The same advice should be given to recruiters too. At least I customize my messages.
OMG - YES! Came here for this! Take your star!
The fact that anyone survived that is just unbelievable. That was one heck of a long skid at high speed - going sideways no less
Slot cars - they never seemed to work well, only in short spurts. R/C cars were also very hit and miss - I only had one that actually worked reasonably well and of course batteries were a huge issue back then because the old NiCad batteries were pretty much trash.

One more reason to avoid Vegas all together.
We will miss you Claire! I’ve genuinely enjoyed reading your stories over the years, which gave me a lot of great ideas for cooking and of course, drinking. Good luck to you!

Reminds me of Martin Brundell calling out Schumacher’s whack on the side of Villeneuve, saying “you hit the wrong part of the car Michael!”.
Whiner-in-chief is an apt name. All he does is complain - naturally he wasn’t complaining when he had the best car on the grid and won a bunch of titles because of that. He’s just pissed because he got caught.
I see that all the time here in CA too - stupid.
Do stupid things, win stupid prizes.
Good luck with permits - here in San Francisco they make it all but impossible to get permits to do anything, which is why one contractor I had working on my house said that over 90% of inlaw units are what we call “unwarranted” - aka. illegal. There are many houses that have been in “permit hell” for years because…
Exactly - there are no absolutes. For some people, leasing makes sense, loans make sense, etc. Everyone has a different situation.
