100% this. Saw some idiot shove his fancy laptop in my overhead bin while walking to the back of the plane. I was so tempted to grab his bag and throw it aside somewhere on thew way out, as he was stuck behind everyone.

Spot on - the company’s goal is to MAXIMIZE the amount of money that they can get out of you. Period. All too often these “sales” are just marked down from the MSRP, so when you do the math it’s not that good of a deal. You can find some deals, but of course do your homework.

You’re spot on about the environment in 2022 when money was literally free so almost any investment would’ve effectively been a winner. Now it’s much different, which makes it a lot harder for startups or smaller companies.

A good list of items. I stayed in one of those lounges at Hong Kong where you can sleep for a couple of hours while waiting for a flight. It was worth it, as it included food, drink, a place to relax and crash for a short nap. Those private lounged definitely make a different for frequent flyers.
